Coinbase built its name on crypto in the US. Cronos App is built for traders everywhere, with stocks, crypto, and prediction markets in one place.
Overview
Overview
Founded in 2012, Coinbase has grown into what it calls the Everything Exchange, combining crypto trading with stocks, prediction markets, and derivatives. It offers retail trading, an Advanced Trade platform for experienced users, custody services, and Base, its Ethereum Layer-2 network. Coinbase acquired Deribit in 2025 for $2.9 billion, adding options and perpetual futures to its offering. It launched stock trading for all US customers in early 2026 and partnered with Kalshi to bring prediction markets to 49 or more US states.
Coinbase is available in 115 or more countries for crypto. However, stocks, prediction markets, and sports contracts are US-only features. For crypto trading, Coinbase supports 350 or more cryptocurrencies with no minimum deposit. Setting up a Coinbase account requires identity verification through a government-issued ID and phone number, with additional Tax Identification Number requirements for users in select regions.
Cronos App is a mobile-first trading app that brings stocks, crypto, and prediction markets into a single account, available across 183 countries.
Cronos App is designed to get from download to first trade in under 60 seconds. Account creation is done through Apple ID, Google, or a passkey, with no seed phrases, no chain-switching, and no forms to fill out. After signing in, users select their topics of interest and the app begins surfacing relevant assets before the first deposit is made.
Stocks and digital assets are available in a single account on Cronos App. Every asset on the platform trades around the clock, seven days a week.
